The Boys of Winter

1. The reporter's stand up is when he's sitting in the stands along with everybody else.

2. Bob Dotson says the best place to put a stand up is in the middle of the story- this way they can give the viewer information that isn't able to be visualized, and it provides a nice transition.

3. In the middle of the story there should be 3-5 main points, which you should be able to support visually.

4. There are about 3 main points for the Boys of Winter story. The first is how fit George stays, jumping rope and using a stationary bike to work out a bit every day. The second point is explaining how these baseball games takes place among the elederly- how they've been going on for 60 years. The last main point in this story is how even though George is older, he still has a lot of love and support, for and from people- baseball, his new wife, and friends.
