Man Angry with Minnesota Department of Transportation over 9/11 Plans
Dan Hanson, a man who has put together annual commemorations for 9/11 the past three years, is frustrated. Usually he and other volunteers like to put a 20-foot-long banner over a major highway bridge- this year, however, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is saying no. They claim that although Hanson has done it previous years, it's still dangerous. Winds could rip it down and on to the highway, causing many crashes. Instead the department proposes that the banner be fastened to handheld poles, claiming it much more safe; Hanson doesn't agree.
